The Bandar Baharu – Sg.Petani Expressway, Lebuhraya Kedah Selatan (LEKAS) is a new project proposed by Rangkaian Lekas Berhad to the Federal Government and Kedah State Government to build a new Highway, as an alternative road Linking at Bandar Baharu Interchange of the North-South expressway (NSE) ended at Sg.Petani Utara and Selatan Interchange via Sg Ular, Terap, Serdang, Kulim, Padang Serai and Ambangan.
